Diebold Nixdorf, Incorporated Scholarship Program

Diebold Nixdorf, Incorporated has established a scholarship program to assist children of employees who plan to continue their education in college or vocational school programs.

This program is administered by Scholarship America┬«, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarship, tuition assistance and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Awards are granted without regard to race, color, creed, religion, sexual orientation, gender, disability, or national origin.

Applicants to the Diebold Nixdorf, Incorporated Scholarship Program must be:

  • Dependent* children, age 24 and under, of full-time employees of Diebold Nixdorf, Incorporated and any U.S.-based Diebold Nixdorf company who have a minimum of one year of employment as of the application deadline.

    *Dependent children are defined as natural and legally adopted children or stepchildren living in the employee’s household or primarily supported by the employee.

  • High school seniors or graduates, or current postsecondary undergraduates, who plan to enroll in full-time undergraduate study at an accredited two-year or four-year college, university, or vocational-technical school for the entire upcoming academic year.

Children of Executive Leadership Team are ineligible.

Award information:

If selected as a recipient, the student can receive a:

  • Diebold Ultimate Scholars Award: Three (3) renewable awards of $2,000 each will be granted to the top ranking applicants overall. Diebold Ultimate Scholars awards are renewable up to three years on the basis of satisfactory academic performance and continued parental employment.
  • Diebold Community Stars Award: Three (3) awards of $1,750 each will be granted based only on non-academic factors (demonstrated leadership and community involvement).
  • Diebold Scholars Award: Up to thirty-five (35) awards of $1,500 each will be granted based on academic and non-academic factors.

Awards are for undergraduate study only.

Notification

Applicants will be notified in late May. Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients. Students may reapply to the program each year they meet eligibility requirements.

Payment of Scholarships

Scholarship America processes scholarship payments on behalf of Diebold Nixdorf, Incorporated. Payments are made directly to the school in one installment in early August.

Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of:

  • Academic record
  • Demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities
  • Honors
  • Work experience and/or home responsibilities
  • Statement of career and educational goals and aspirations
  • Unusual personal or family circumstances
  • An outside appraisal

Financial need is not considered.

Selection of recipients is made by Scholarship America. In no instance does any officer or employee of Diebold Nixdorf, Incorporated play a part in the selection. All applicants agree to accept the decision as final.

As part of your application, you must upload the following document:

  • Current, complete transcript of grades. Grade reports are not accepted. Unofficial or online transcripts must display student name, school name, grades and credit hours for each course, and term in which each course was taken

Also as part of your application, one online recommendation form must be submitted on your behalf by 3:00 p.m. Central Time on April 6, 2020.

Your application is not complete unless all required documents are submitted electronically through the Scholarship America Student Hub.
