Dominium Trade School Awards Program
Deadline to apply: April 28, 2025 3:00 pm Central Time

Dominium has established a scholarship program to assist students who plan to continue their education in vocational-technical school programs.

The program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarships and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Eligibility for individual programs is determined at the sole discretion of the sponsor and eligible applications are reviewed by Scholarship America’s evaluation team.

Applicants to the Dominium Trade School Awards Program Awards Program must:

  • Be a resident of a Dominium-owned property for a minimum of 6 months as of the application deadline date and in good standing as of the recipient verification date. Residents also include custodial children and grandchildren of residents who were listed on the lease at the time of lease signing
  • OR
  • Be a full-time Dominium employee who has a minimum of 6 months employment with the company as of the application deadline date and remains in good standing as of recipient verification date, or the custodial child of such a Dominium employee
  • Be high school seniors, high school graduates (including GED), or current college undergraduates
  • Plan to enroll in full- or part-time study at an accredited vocational-technical school for the upcoming Fall term

Non-traditional students are encouraged to apply.

Awards

If selected as a recipient, the student will receive a $5,000 award. Up to 50 awards will be granted. Award amounts are listed in U.S. dollars (USD) and award payments will be issued to the school in USD.

Awards are not renewable, but students may reapply to the program each term they meet eligibility requirements.

Awards are for vocational-technical undergraduate study only.

Recipients of the Dominium Scholarship for Residents or Dominium Scholarship for Employees are not eligible to also receive a Dominium Trade School Award in a single academic year.

Notification

All applicants will be notified in June.

Payment of Scholarships

Scholarship America processes scholarship payments on behalf of Dominium. Payment is made in August.

Selection of Recipients

Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of:

  • Academic record
  • Demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities
  • Work experience
  • Unusual personal or family circumstances

Financial need is not considered.

Selection of recipients is made by Scholarship America. In no instance does any officer or employee of Dominium play a part in the selection. Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients. All applicants agree to accept the decision as final.

As part of your application, you must upload the following:

  • A current, complete transcript of grades. Grade reports are not accepted. Unofficial or online transcripts must display:
    • Student name
    • School name
    • Grades
    • Credit hours for each course and term in which each course was taken.

NOTE: If you are providing SAT or ACT test scores, and those scores are not listed on your high school transcript, you will need to upload a copy of your test score report(s) separately. If you are uploading a college transcript, those scores are not required.

Your application is not complete unless all required materials are submitted electronically.
