East Lake Foundation has established scholarships to assist Charles R. Drew Charter School graduates who plan to continue their education in college or vocational school programs. Renewable scholarships are offered each year for full-time study at an accredited institution of the student’s choice.
This program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarship and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Eligibility for individual programs is determined at the sole discretion of the sponsor, and eligible applications are reviewed by Scholarship America’s evaluation team.
Applicants to the East Lake Foundation Scholarship Program must:
Awards will be granted as follows:
Awards are renewable for up to three additional years or until a bachelor’s degree is earned, whichever occurs first. Renewal is contingent upon meeting grade point average (GPA) requirements in a full-time undergraduate course of study and continuation of the programs by East Lake Foundation. Students receiving the Cousins Scholarship must maintain a cumulative minimum 2.75 grade point average (GPA). Students receiving the Eva Davis or RC Pruitt Scholarships must maintain satisfactory academic performance.
Awards are for undergraduate study only.
East Lake Foundation sponsored scholarships are intended to help fill financial gaps for costs of college attendance such as tuition, fees, books and required supplies/equipment. Should you be awarded a scholarship from another source that covers the full cost of attendance at the college/university of your choice, this award may be withdrawn to be awarded to another student with a greater financial need.
Scholarship finalists are selected on the basis of:

Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients. All applicants agree to accept the decision as final.
All applicants will be notified in May.
