Travelers EDGE® – Empowering Dreams for Graduation and Employment – is an innovative educational opportunity developed by Travelers. The program provides college students with financial, academic, professional development and mentoring support while preparing students for a career at Travelers or the insurance and financial services industry.
This program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarships and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Eligibility for individual programs is determined at the sole discretion of the sponsor and eligible applications are reviewed by Scholarship America’s evaluation team. Awards are granted without regard to race, color, creed, religion, sexual orientation, age, gender, disability, or national origin.
Applicants to the Travelers EDGE® Program must meet all of the following criteria:
If selected as a recipient, annual awards will be granted as follows:
Recipients must participate fully in the Travelers EDGE® program (administered by Travelers) and attend all required events and activities. Each recipient will be provided with a scholar agreement form by the school’s Travelers EDGE® Program manager.
Awards may be renewed for up to six consecutive calendar years or until a bachelor’s degree is earned. A student may not remain in the Travelers EDGE® Program more than six consecutive calendar years unless program approval is granted.
Individual circumstances will be reviewed to determine eligibility for renewals. If a program recipient’s GPA is below 3.0, or other guidelines are not met, the recipient may face program removal or probation in accordance with Travelers’ program guidelines.
Awards are for undergraduate study only.
The award may be applied to education-related expenses, including tuition, fees and other college related expenses as applicable (on-campus room & board, lab fees, etc.). This award should not be used to displace other sources of grants or gift aid.
Program recipients are selected on the basis of:
Financial need must be demonstrated based on submitted FAFSA SAR document indicating an EFC of $7,500 or less.
A pool of qualified finalists will be selected by Scholarship America. Travelers and partner college members will review finalists and partner college members will select recipients. All applicants agree to accept the decision as final.
All applicants will be notified in March if selected for a program interview. Interviews will take place in early April, and scholars will be selected in late April.
