Entergy Corporation has established a scholarship program to assist employees’ dependents that plan to continue their education in college or vocational school programs. Scholarships are offered each year for full-time study at an accredited institution of the student’s choice.
This scholarship program emphasizes community service. Scholarship recipients are primarily selected on the basis of volunteer community service, and secondarily on academic record, demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities, honors, work experience, statement of goals and aspirations, unusual personal or family circumstances, and an outside appraisal. Financial need is not considered.
This scholarship program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarship, tuition assistance and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations and individuals. Awards are granted without regard to race, color, creed, religion, sexual orientation, gender, disability, national origin or financial need.
Applicants to the Entergy Community Power Scholarship Program must:
If selected as a recipient, the student will receive a $5,000 award. Up to twenty-two (22) system-wide awards will be granted. Up to ten (10) additional awards will be granted to students whose parent is employed by Entergy Louisiana. Up to two (2) additional awards will be granted to students whose parent is employed by Entergy Mississippi. Awards are one-time only and are not renewable.
