Essity North America Inc. has established a scholarship program to assist employees’ children who plan to continue their education in college or university programs. Scholarships are offered each year for full-time study at an accredited U.S. or Canadian institution of the student’s choice.
This scholarship program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarships other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations and individuals. Eligibility for individual programs is determined at the sole discretion of the sponsor and eligible applications are reviewed by Scholarship America’s evaluation team.
Applicants to the Essity Scholarship Program must be:

Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of:
Financial need will not be considered.
Academic evaluation of international applicants will include a review of the grade/mark average based on the grading system used in the applicant’s country and a review of the results of academic examinations.
Selection of recipients is made by Scholarship America. In no instance does any officer or employee of Essity North America Inc. play a part in the selection. All applicants agree to accept the decision as final.
Applicants will be notified in late March. Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients.
Scholarship America processes scholarship payments on behalf of Essity North America Inc. Payment is made in mid-August.
If selected as a recipient, the student will receive an award ranging from $1,000 to $2,500. Awards will be given by distributed as follows:
Corporate (Essity/GHC/GOPS)
Two $2,500 awards, one $1,000 award
Health and Medical Solutions Division
Bowling Green: One $2,500 award
Drummondville: Three $1,000 awards
Medical Solutions (Legacy BSN U.S. & Canada): Five $2,000 awards
U.S. Sales & Marketing: One $2,500 award
Canada Sales & Marketing: One $1,500 award, two $1000 awards
Hydrofera: One $1,000 award
Professional Hygiene (Tissue) Division
Up to 10 $2,500 awards and 25 $1,000 awards for the entire division, distributed among the seven regions (Midwest, Northeast, Central, Southeast, Cira Centre/Neenah SEC, Legacy Converting and U.S./Canada Sales), proportionate to the number of applications received per region.
All awards are in U.S. dollars.
Awards are not renewable; however, students may reapply to the program each year they meet eligibility requirements.

NOTE: If you are providing SAT or ACT test scores, and those scores are not listed on your high school transcript, you will need to upload a copy of your test score report(s) separately. If you are uploading a college transcript, those scores are not required.
