FIA Operations Americas Division
Application status: Closed

FIA Operations Americas Division has established a scholarship program to assist dependent children of employees who plan to continue their education in college. Scholarships are offered each year for full-time study at an accredited institution of the student’s choice.

This program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarship, tuition assistance and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Awards are granted without regard to race, color, creed, religion, sexual orientation, gender, age, disability, or national origin.

Applicants must meet all of the following criteria:

  • Children* of 2019 members and 2020 members of FIA Operations Americas Division with a minimum of one year of membership as of the end of the fiscal year, December 31, preceding the award year and continuing in good standing at the time of eligibility verification.

*Child is defined as the son, daughter, stepson, stepdaughter, legally adopted child or legal ward supported solely by the member.

  • High school seniors planning to enroll, or students already enrolled, in a full-time course of study leading to a baccalaureate degree at an accredited four-year college or university or an associate degree at a two-year community or junior college.

There is no limit on the number of students per family that can apply; however, each applicant must register a separate applicant account.

If selected as a recipient, the student will receive a $2,500 award. Up to eight (8) awards will be granted.

Awards are not renewable; however, students may reapply to the program each year they meet eligibility requirements.

Awards are for undergraduate study only.

Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of:

  • past academic performance and future potential,
  • leadership and participation in school and community activities,
  • work experience,
  • statement of career and educational aspirations and goals,
  • unusual personal or family circumstances,
  • and an online recommendation

Financial need is not considered.

Selection of recipients is made by Scholarship America. In no instance does any officer or employee of FIA Operations Americas Division play a part in the selection. All applicants agree to accept the decision as final.

Applicants will be notified in early August. Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients.
