Flowers Foods, Inc. has established a scholarship program to assist children of employees who plan to continue their education in college or vocational school programs.
The program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarship, and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Eligibility for individual programs is determined at the sole discretion of the sponsor, and eligible applications are reviewed by Scholarship America’s evaluation team. Awards for this scholarship are granted to eligible recipients without regard to creed, religion, sexual orientation, disability, or national origin.
Applicants to the Flowers Foods, Inc. Sons & Daughters Scholarship Program must be:
Children of employees who are in a salary grade 23 and higher are not eligible.
If selected as a recipient, the student will receive a $1,000 award. Up to ten (10) awards will be granted. Awards may be renewed for up to three additional years or until a bachelor’s degree is earned, whichever occurs first. Renewal is contingent upon satisfactory academic performance in a full-time course of study, continued employment of the student’s parent at Flowers Foods, Inc. and continuation of the program by Flowers Foods, Inc.
Awards are for undergraduate study only.
All applicants will be notified in May.
Scholarship America processes scholarship payments on behalf of Flowers Foods, Inc. Payment is made in early August.
Financial need is not considered.
Selection of recipients is made by Scholarship America. In no instance does any officer or employee of Flowers Foods, Inc. play a part in the selection. Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients. Students may reapply to the program each year they meet eligibility requirements.
