Fluidmaster PHCC Scholarship Program
Deadline to apply: July 17, 2024 3:00 pm Central Time

Fluidmaster has established a scholarship program to assist students who plan to enroll full-time in the Plumbing-Heating-Cooling Contractors Association of Orange County, Riverside and San Bernardino (PHCC-ORSB) four-year Journeyman Plumbing Training Program.

This program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarship and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Eligibility for individual programs is determined at the sole discretion of the sponsor, and eligible applications are reviewed by Scholarship America’s evaluation team. Awards are granted without regard to race, color, creed, religion, sexual orientation, age, gender, disability, or national origin.

Applicants to the Fluidmaster PHCC Plumbing Scholars Program must be:

  • High school seniors or graduates who have completed the Plumbing-Heating-Coolers-Contractors Association (PHCC) Ride and Decide Program who plan to enroll in full-time study in the PHCC-ORSB four-year Journeyman Plumbing Training Program at PHCC in August/September of the upcoming academic year.
  • United States citizens or be legally eligible to work in the United States.
  • Employed by a business with membership in PHCC-ORSB.

Award information:

If selected as a recipient, the student will receive a $3,500 award. Up to five (5) awards will be granted. Awards may be renewed for up to three additional years or until the training program has been completed, whichever occurs first. Renewal is contingent upon full-time enrollment and satisfactory academic performance (receiving a passing grade in each class that is required as part of the training program).

Awards are for the PHCC-ORSB four-year Journeyman Plumbing Training Program only.

Notification

Applicants will be notified in August. Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients. Students may reapply to the program each year they meet eligibility requirements.

Payment of Scholarships

Scholarship America processes scholarship payments on behalf of Fluidmaster. Payments are made in September.

Selection of Recipients

Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of:

  • Academic record
  • Demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities
  • Work experience
  • A statement of educational and career goals and objectives
  • Unusual personal or family circumstances

Financial need is not considered.

Selection of recipients is made by Scholarship America. In no instance does any officer or employee of Fluidmaster play a part in the selection. All applicants agree to accept the decision as final.

Required Documents

As part of your application, you must upload the following documents:

  • A current, complete transcript of grades. Grade reports are not accepted. Transcripts must display student name, school name, grades and credit hours for each course and term in which each course was taken.

NOTE: If you are providing SAT or ACT test scores, and those scores are not listed on your high school transcript, you will need to upload an official copy of those test scores separately. If you are uploading a college transcript, those scores are not required.
