Fortive Corporation has established a scholarship program to assist dependents of employees at Fortive and its operating companies who plan to continue their education in university.
This program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarship, tuition assistance and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Awards are granted without regard to race, color, creed, religion, sexual orientation, age, gender, disability, or national origin.
Applicants to the Fortive Scholarship Program must:
Students planning to attend community or junior colleges or vocational-technical schools are ineligible.
The employee parent must remain actively employed in good standing with Fortive or one of its operating companies at the time of award issuance.
Awards may be renewed for up to three additional years or until a bachelor’s degree is earned, whichever occurs first. Renewal is contingent upon satisfactory academic performance (i.e. maintaining a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, or the equivalent) in a full-time course of study, the employee parent remaining actively employed in good standing, and continuation of the program by Fortive. Dependents of Vontier employees are eligible for the award even if Vontier separates before the award is issued. Dependents of Vontier employees are not eligible for renewals.
Awards are for undergraduate study only.
All applicants will be notified in June. Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients. Students may reapply to the program each year they meet eligibility requirements.
Scholarship America processes scholarship payments on behalf of Fortive. Payments are made in one installment in August.
Financial need, as calculated by Scholarship America, must be demonstrated for the student to receive an award.
Selection of recipients is made by Scholarship America. In no instance does any officer or employee of Fortive play a part in the selection. All applicants agree to accept the decision as final.
Also as part of your application, one online recommendation form must be submitted on your behalf by 3:00 p.m. Central Time on April 25, 2020.
Your application is not complete unless all required documents are submitted electronically through the Scholarship America Student Hub.
