Fortive Scholarship Program
Deadline to apply: April 15, 2021 3:00 pm CT

Fortive Corporation has established a scholarship program to assist dependents of employees at Fortive and its operating companies who plan to continue their education at a two- or four year college, university, or vocational-technical school.

This program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarship, tuition assistance and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Awards are granted without regard to race, color, creed, religion, sexual orientation, age, gender, disability, or national origin.

Applicants to the Fortive Scholarship Program must:

  • Be dependent* children of active, full-time Fortive employees who are in good standing as of the application deadline.
*Dependent children are defined as natural and legally adopted children or stepchildren living in the employee’s household or primarily supported by the employee.
  • Be high school seniors or graduates, in the final year of secondary school, or current postsecondary undergraduates who plan to enroll in full-time undergraduate study at an accredited two-year or four-year college or university for the entire upcoming academic year.
  • Have a minimum grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale (or its equivalent).
  • Not be recipients of other scholarships funded by Fortive or any of its operating companies.

Award Information:

  • If selected as a recipient, the student will receive an award of either $3,000 or $5,000.
  • Each applicant is only eligible for one award.
  • Up to twenty (20) awards will be granted.
  • The top three (3) recipients will receive a $5,000 award.
  • The remaining seventeen (17) recipients will receive a $3,000 award.

The employee parent must remain actively employed in good standing with Fortive or one of its operating companies at the time of award issuance.

Awards may be renewed for up to three additional years or until a bachelor’s degree is earned, whichever occurs first. Students enrolled in a vocational program would be eligible to renew if they planned to continue enrollment to pursue an associates or bachelor’s degree. Renewal is contingent upon satisfactory academic performance (i.e. maintaining a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, or the equivalent) in a full-time course of study, the employee parent remaining actively employed in good standing, and continuation of the program by Fortive.

Awards are for undergraduate study only.

All applicants will be notified in June. Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients. Students may reapply to the program each year they meet eligibility requirements.
