The program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarships and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Applicants to Forestry Suppliers Education Assistance Program must:

  • Be children* of full-time Forestry Suppliers, Inc. employees who have a minimum of five (5) consecutive years of employment with the company as of the application deadline.
*Children are defined as the following individuals under the age of 26 who live with the Employee or who are being primarily supported by the Employee: biological children, step-children, children for whom the Employee has been appointed legal guardian by a court of competent jurisdiction, and adopted children or children who have been placed by a court of competent jurisdiction in the custody of the Employee for the purposes of adoption.
  • Be high school seniors or graduates, or current postsecondary undergraduates**, who plan to enroll in full-time undergraduate study at an accredited, nonprofit two-year or four-year college or university for the entire upcoming academic year.
**Undergraduate students must have less than 150 undergraduate credits earned to be eligible.
  • Have a minimum grade point average of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale (or its equivalent).

Students who have already earned a bachelor’s degree are NOT eligible to apply.

All applicants who meet the eligibility requirements will receive an award. Education assistance awards of up to $3,000 will be granted. Awards are not renewable; however, students may reapply to the program each year they meet eligibility requirements. No student may receive an award for more than four (4) years.

The maximum lifetime number of awards allowed per employee household will be limited to twelve (12).

Awards are for undergraduate study only.

All applicants will be notified in late July.
