This scholarship program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarship, tuition assistance and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations and individuals. Awards are granted regardless of a person’s race, color, creed, religion, sexual orientation, gender, disability or national origin.
Applicants to the Gardner-Gibson Scholarship Program must be:
Officers and children of officers are ineligible to apply.
*Dependent children are defined as biological, step- or legally adopted children living in the employee’s household or primarily supported by the employee.
The authorized distribution for new awards is $12,500. Up to five (5) awards of $2,500 each will be granted. An attempt will be made to distribute funds to as many families as possible.
The award checks will be issued in U.S. currency.
Awards are renewable up to three years or until a bachelor’s or master’s degree is earned, whichever occurs first, on the basis of satisfactory academic performance and continued employment by the parent or employee.
Awards are for undergraduate study and graduate study.
All applicants will be notified on March 15. Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients.
Payment of Scholarships
Scholarship America processes Gardner-Gibson Scholarship Program payments on behalf of Gardner-Gibson. Payments are made in equal installments, on 1st August and then on 15 December . Payment is made payable to the school.
Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of:
Academic evaluation of international applicants will include a review of the grade/mark average based on the grading system used in the applicant’s country and a review of the results of academic examinations.
Financial need will be considered.
Recipients will be selected from a pool of qualified applicants with consideration given to those who demonstrate the greatest need.
Selection of finalists is made by Scholarship America, and the selection of the recipients is made by Gardner-Gibson, Inc. All applicants agree to accept the decision as final.
Gardner-Gibson Inc. reserves the right to review the conditions and procedures of this scholarship program and to make changes at any time, with or without notice including termination of the program.
