The William Gawor Perpetual Scholarship Fund has established a scholarship program to assist high school seniors from Bayonne High School or Rahway High School in New Jersey who plan to major in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) field at a four-year university.
The program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarship, tuition assistance, and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Eligibility for individual programs is determined at the sole discretion of the sponsor, and eligible applications are reviewed by Scholarship America’s evaluation team. Awards for this scholarship are granted to eligible recipients without regard to creed, religion, sexual orientation, disability, or national origin.

Applicants will be notified in June. Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients.
Scholarship America processes scholarship payments on behalf of The William Gawor Estate. Payments are made in one installment in early August.
Financial need is not considered. Awards will be strictly based on merit.
Scholarship America will select fourteen finalists (seven per school) and each high school will select four recipients. In no instance does any officer or employee of The William Gawor Perpetual Scholarship Fund play a part in the selection. All applicants agree to accept the decision as final.
One online recommendation form must be submitted on your behalf no later than April 28, 2021 3:00 pm.
