GID Investment Advisers, LLC has established a scholarship program to assist children of employees who plan to continue their education in college or vocational school programs.
The program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarship, tuition assistance, and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Eligibility for individual programs is determined at the sole discretion of the sponsor, and eligible applications are reviewed by Scholarship America’s evaluation team. Awards for this scholarship are granted to eligible recipients without regard to creed, religion, sexual orientation, age, disability, or national origin.
Applicants to the GID Scholars Program must:
Children of employees making $100K or above are not eligible to participate in this program.
If selected as a recipient, the student will receive a $2,000 award. Up to three (3) awards will be granted. An attempt will be made to select recipients to represent the various business units, providing there are qualified applicants.
Awards may be renewed for up to three additional years or until a bachelor’s degree is earned, whichever occurs first. Renewal is contingent upon satisfactory academic performance in a full-time course of study and continuation of the program by GID Investment Advisers, LLC.
Awards are for undergraduate study only.
All applicants will be notified in early May.
Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of academic record, demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities, work experience, a statement of goals and aspirations, unusual personal or family circumstances, and an online recommendation. Financial need is not considered.
Selection of recipients is made by Scholarship America. In no instance does any officer or employee of GID Investment Advisers, LLC play a part in the selection. Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients. Students may reapply to the program each year they meet eligibility requirements. All applicants agree to accept the decision as final.
Scholarship America processes scholarship payments on behalf of GID Investment Advisers, LLC. Payment is made in early August.
