Graco Scholarship Program
Deadline to apply: March 13, 2025 3:00 pm CT

As today’s students enter our workforce, they are facing new challenges and opportunities never before imaginable. At Graco, we recognize the contributions of these students and the important role that education plays in their development.  We believe that education is the key to success.  The Graco Scholarship Program gives us an opportunity to invest in the education of employees’ children around the world.  As our children grow and use their knowledge to continually improve our society, it is easy to see that this is a wise investment.

The Graco Scholarship Program is funded by The Graco Foundation and administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarships and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Eligibility for individual programs is determined at the sole discretion of the sponsor, and eligible applications are reviewed by Scholarship America’s evaluation team.

Applicants to the Graco Scholarship Program must be:

  • Biological, step- or legally-adopted children, age 25 or under, of all regular Graco and subsidiary company employees worldwide or part-time employees who work at least twenty hours per week. The parent employee must be employed at the time the initial award is announced.
  • High school seniors or graduates, or current postsecondary undergraduates or graduates, who plan to enroll in full-time* undergraduate or graduate study at an accredited two-year or four-year college, university, or vocational-technical school for the entire upcoming academic year.
*Full-time study is defined as full-time enrollment (12 credits) for the entire upcoming academic year.

Award Amounts
Three (3) awards of $10,000 each will be designated Graco Excellence scholarships. Preference will be given to recipients with greatest financial need.

Graco Merit scholarships will range from $5,000 to $6,500 each. Financial need will be considered in determining the size of the award; however, qualified students demonstrating no financial need, or whose parents do not complete the confidential financial data section, are eligible for one-time Graco Honorarium awards of $3,000.

With the exception of the honorarium awards, all Graco scholarships may be renewed for up to three additional years on the basis of satisfactory academic performance in a full-time course of study and continuation of the program by The Graco Foundation.

The Graco Merit and Excellence awards may be renewed for a fifth year for bonafide five-year undergraduate programs.

Awards may be used for undergraduate or graduate study. A student may receive a Graco award for a maximum of four years.

Recipients may receive only one award in a year.

Notification
All applicants will be notified in May.

Payment of Scholarships
Scholarship America processes scholarship payments on behalf of The Graco Foundation. Payments are made in one installment in August.

Selection of Recipients
Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of:

  • Past academic record
  • Demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities
  • Work experience
  • A statement of career and educational goals and objectives
  • Unusual personal or family circumstances

Financial need will be considered in determining the size of the award. Recipients demonstrating no financial need, or whose parents do not complete the confidential financial data section, are eligible to receive a minimum award only.

Qualified international applicants will be evaluated separately and be awarded up to approximately 25% of awards. Selection of recipients is made by Scholarship America. In no instance does any officer or employee of The Graco Foundation play a part in the selection.

All applicants agree to accept the decision as final. Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients. If not selected as a recipient for the current scholarship cycle, students may reapply to the program each year they meet eligibility requirements.
