The Guild Giving National Scholarship

Guild Giving Foundation has established a scholarship to assist students who plan to continue their education in college or vocational school programs. Continuing their mission to support education and financial literacy, the Guild Giving Foundation has partnered with Scholarship America®, to annually award up to 10 higher education students with scholarships of $1,500 each. This scholarship is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarship and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Eligibility for individual program is determined at the sole discretion of the sponsor, and eligible applications are reviewed by Scholarship America’s evaluation team.

Eligibility
Applicants to The Guild Giving Scholarship Program must meet all of the following criteria:

  • Be a United States citizen or national.
  • Have a minimum grade point average of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale.
  • Be a high school senior or graduate, postsecondary undergraduate, or graduate student enrolled full-time in a collegiate program at an accredited two- or four-year college, university or vocational-technical school for the entire upcoming academic year.

Applicants residing in New York are not eligible to apply.

Award
If selected as a recipient, the student will receive $1,500. Up to ten (10) awards will be granted.

Awards may be renewed for up to three additional years. Renewal is contingent upon satisfactory academic performance in a full-time course of study and continuation of the program by Guild Giving Foundation

Awards are for undergraduate and graduate study.

Selection of Recipients
Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of

  • Academic performance
  • An essay
  • A statement of educational and career goals and objectives
  • An online recommendation.

Financial need is not a consideration.

Selection of recipients is made by Scholarship America. In no instance does any officer or employee of Guild Giving Foundation play a part in the selection.

Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients. Students may reapply to the program each year they meet eligibility requirements. All applicants agree to accept the decision as final.

Notification
All applicants will be notified in late May.Payment of Scholarships
Scholarship America processes scholarship payments on behalf of Guild Giving Foundation Payment is made in one installment in August.

As part of your application, you must upload the following:

  • A current, complete transcript of grades. Grade reports are not accepted. Transcripts must display student name, school name, grades and credit hours for each course and term in which each course was taken.

NOTE: If you are providing SAT or ACT test scores, and those scores are not listed on your high school transcript, you will need to upload a copy of your test score report(s) separately. If you are uploading a college transcript, those scores are not required.

One online recommendation form must be submitted on your behalf no later than April 13, 2024 3:00 pm Central Time.
