The Guild Giving Scholarship Program

Guild Mortgage Company, Inc. has established a scholarship program to assist students who plan to continue their education in college or vocational school programs.

This program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarship, tuition assistance and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Awards are granted without regard to race, color, creed, religion, sexual orientation, age, gender, disability, or national origin.

Eligibility
Applicants to The Guild Giving Scholarship Program must meet all of the following criteria:

  • Be a United States citizen or national.
  • Have a minimum grade point average of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale.
  • Be high school seniors or graduates, postsecondary undergraduates, or graduate students.
  • Intend full-time enrollment in a collegiate program at an accredited two- or four-year college, university or vocational-technical school for the entire upcoming academic year.
  • Live within geographic reference to a Guild Mortgage branch or office in their city, county or state, as determined by Guild Mortgage Company, Inc.

Children of Guild Mortgage Company, Inc. employees are eligible to apply.

Award
If selected as a recipient, the student will receive $1,500. Up to ten (10) awards will be granted.

Awards may be renewed for up to three additional years. Renewal is contingent upon satisfactory academic performance in a full-time course of study and continuation of the program by Guild Mortgage Company, Inc.

Awards are for undergraduate and graduate study.

Selection of Recipients
Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of academic performance, an essay, statement of career objectives, and an online recommendation.

Financial need is not a consideration.

Selection of recipients is made by Scholarship America. In no instance does any officer or employee of Guild Mortgage Company, Inc. play a part in the selection.

Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients. Students may reapply to the program each year they meet eligibility requirements. All applicants agree to accept the decision as final.

Notification
All applicants will be notified in late-May.

Payment of Scholarships
Scholarship America processes scholarship payments on behalf of Guild Mortgage Company, Inc. Payment is made in one installment in August.

As part of your application, you must upload the following documents:

  • A current, complete transcript of grades. Grade reports are not accepted. Unofficial or online transcripts must display student name, school name, grades and credit hours for each course, and term in which each course was taken.

As part of your application, one online recommendation must be submitted on your behalf.

Your application is not considered complete unless all required documents are submitted electronically.
