Hallmark Financial Scholarship Program
Application status: Closed

Hallmark Financial has established a scholarship program to assist children of employees who plan to continue their education in college or vocational school programs.

This program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarship, tuition assistance and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Awards are granted without regard to race, color, creed, religion, sexual orientation, gender, disability, or national origin.

Applicants to the Hallmark Financial Scholarship Program must be:

  • Dependent children, age 26 and under, of full-time benefit eligible Hallmark Financial employees who have a minimum of twelve (12) months of continuous benefit-eligible service as of the first day of the academic semester in which the dependent is enrolled.
  • High school seniors or graduates, or current postsecondary undergraduates, who plan to enroll in full-time undergraduate study at an accredited two-year or four-year college, university, or vocational-technical school for the entire upcoming academic year.
  • The Hallmark employee must be actively employed with Hallmark at the time of the award payout.

If selected as a recipient, the student will receive a $2,000 award. Awards are one time only. Past recipients may not reapply. Scholarships will be limited to one recipient per household per academic year.

Awards are for undergraduate study only.

Selection of Recipients

Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of academic record, demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities, honors, work experience, statement of goals and aspirations, unusual personal or family circumstances, and an online recommendation.

Selection of recipients is made by Scholarship America. In no instance does any officer or employee of Hallmark Financial play a part in the selection. All applicants agree to accept the decision as final.

Applicants will be notified in late April. Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients.

Payment of Scholarships
Scholarship America processes scholarship payments on behalf of Hallmark Financial. Payments are made in early August. To be eligible for payment, the employee is required to be employed with Hallmark at the time of payment.

Hallmark Financial reserves the right to review conditions and procedures of this scholarship program and to make changes at any time including termination of the program.

As part of your application, you must upload the following document:

  • Current, complete transcript of grades. Grade reports are not accepted. Unofficial or online transcripts must display student name, school name, grades and credit hours for each course, and term in which each course was taken.

Also as part of your application, one online recommendation must be submitted on your behalf.

Your application is not considered complete unless all required documents are submitted electronically.
