The Hanover Insurance Group, Inc. has established a competitive scholarship program to recognize the importance of education and to provide support to employees’ children who plan to continue their education at a college, university, or vocational-technical school.
This program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarship, tuition assistance and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals.
Applicants of The Hanover Insurance Group Employee Scholarship Program award must be:
*Dependent children are defined as natural or legally adopted children or dependent stepchildren primarily supported by the employee.
If selected as a recipient, the student will receive one of the following award designations:
The selection process will not be influenced or affected by the actual or perceived race, religion, color, national origin, ancestry, disability, age, gender, or sexual orientation of any applicant.
Selection of recipients is made by Scholarship America. In no instance does any officer or employee of the The Hanover Insurance Group, Inc. or Citizens Insurance play a part in the selection. All applicants agree to accept the decision as final.
Notification of recipients is sent via standard mail in February. Nonrecipients are notified by email. Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients.
Payment of Scholarships
Scholarship America processes scholarship payments on behalf of The Hanover Insurance Group, Inc.
Payments are made in one installment in mid-July.
