The Harley-Davidson Foundation focuses on helping in three areas of the communities in which we live and work. These areas include enabling student success, community vibrancy and the healthy and sustainable neighborhoods. With student success being a primary focus, the Employee’s Children College Scholarship Program is a significant way The Foundation supports Harley-Davidson employees with the education of their children. The Foundation is offering seven scholarships to children of full- and part-time Harley-Davidson Motor Company; Harley-Davidson Dealer Systems; and Harley-Davidson Financial Services employees who are furthering their education beyond high school. The Foundation aims to help employees’ children while furthering the Company’s commitment to the community through this program.
The program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarship, tuition assistance, and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Eligibility for individual programs is determined at the sole discretion of the sponsor, and eligible applications are reviewed by Scholarship America’s evaluation team. Awards for this scholarship are granted to eligible recipients without regard to creed, religion, sexual orientation, age, disability, or national origin.
Children of employees in the Executive Career Band or children of Flexible/H-D Casual employees are ineligible to participate in the Program.
Up to seven (7) awards will be granted.
Awards may be renewed for up to three additional years or until a bachelor’s degree is earned, whichever occurs first. Renewal is contingent upon satisfactory academic performance. Awards are for undergraduate study only.
Your application must be submitted by May 7, 2021 3:00 pm Central Time.
The scholarship recipients will be selected with consideration of academic performance, demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities, work experience, a statement of career and educational goals and objectives, unusual personal or family circumstances and an outside appraisal.
In addition to the above, financial need will be considered for the $2,000 awards only.
The selection process will not be influenced or affected by the actual or perceived race, religion, color, national origin, ancestry, disability, gender, or sexual orientation of any applicant.
Scholarship America will notify all applicants in June. Recipients will receive a letter and non-recipients will be emailed. All applicants agree to accept the decisions as final.
Scholarship America processes scholarship payments on behalf of The Harley-Davidson Foundation. Payment is made in one installment in early August.
One online recommendation form must be submitted on your behalf no later than May 12, 2021 3:00 pm Central Time.
