Havenpark Communities Academic Scholarship Program
Deadline to apply: January 31, 2022 3:00 pm CT

Havenpark Communities has established a scholarship program to assist residents and/or their children who plan to continue their education in college or vocational school programs.

This program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarship, tuition assistance, and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Eligibility for individual programs is determined at the sole discretion of the sponsor, and eligible applications are reviewed by Scholarship America’s evaluation team. Awards for this scholarship are granted to eligible recipients without regard to creed, religion, sexual orientation, disability, or national origin.

Applicants to the Havenpark Communities Academic Scholarship Program must meet all of the following criteria:

  • Be a current resident of a Havenpark Community or have a parent/legal guardian who is a resident
*Residency for either the applicant or guardian must be established prior to December 15, 2021 and must continue through at least March 2022
  • Be a high school senior, current college/university undergraduate, or an individual planning to enroll
  • Plan to enroll in part-time or full-time undergraduate study at an accredited two-year or four-year college, university, or vocational-technical school in the U.S. for the entire upcoming academic year
  • Have a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.5 or above on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent)

Havenpark employees, and children of Havenpark employees, are not eligible for consideration.

Awards

If selected as a recipient, the student will receive an award ranging from $2,500 to $10,000. Award amounts are determined by the recipient’s enrollment status (part-time or full-time) and school-type (two-year, four-year, or vocational-technical school.) Up to twenty (20) awards will be granted.

Awards may be renewed for up to three additional years or until a bachelor’s degree is earned, whichever occurs first. Renewal is contingent upon satisfactory academic performance in a part-time or full-time course of study.

Award amounts will be adjusted if a recipient changes college type or enrollment status. Awards may transfer from an associate (2-year) degree to a bachelor (4-year) degree and vice versa.

Awards are for undergraduate study only.

Selection of Recipients

Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of academic performance, demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities, work experience, two essays, and an online recommendation.

Financial need is not considered.

Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients. Students may reapply to the program each year they meet eligibility requirements. All applicants agree to accept the decision as final.

Notification

All applicants will be notified in late March.

Scholarship America processes scholarship payments on behalf of Havenpark Communities. Payment is made in August.
