Heniff Holdco, LLC has established a scholarship program to assist children of employees who plan to continue their education in college or vocational school programs. Since it’s inception in 2018, the program has awarded over $190,000 to dependents of Heniff Company employees.
This program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarship, tuition assistance and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Eligibility for individual programs is determined at the sole discretion of the sponsor, and eligible applications are reviewed by Scholarship America’s evaluation team. Awards are granted without regard to race, color, creed, religion, sexual orientation, gender, disability, or national origin.
Applicants to the Heniff Scholarship Program must be:
Children of officers and executives and children of 1099 contractors are ineligible to apply.
Children of employees of Miller Transporters, Inc. are also ineligible to apply due to eligibility under the H. D. Miller, Sr. Scholarship Program.
If selected as a recipient, the student will receive a $3,000 award. Up to ten (10) awards will be granted.
Awards will be limited to one new or renewal per family at a time.
Awards are renewable up to three additional years or until a bachelor’s degree or equivalent certificate is earned, whichever occurs first, on the basis of maintaining satisfactory academic performance and continued parental employment. Parent must be in good standing and employed by a Heniff Company as of July of the current distribution period.
Awards are for undergraduate study or qualified vocational-technical study only.
Selection of Recipients
Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of academic performance, demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities, work experience, statement of educational and career goals and objectives, unusual personal or family circumstances, and an outside appraisal. Financial need is not considered.
Selection of recipients is made by Scholarship America. In no instance does any officer or employee of Heniff Holdco, LLC play a part in the selection. All applicants agree to accept the decision as final.
Applicants will be notified in late March. Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients. Students may reapply to the program each year they meet eligibility requirements.
