Heniff Scholarship Program

Heniff Holdco, LLC has established a scholarship program to assist children of employees who plan to continue their education in college or vocational school programs. Since it’s inception in 2018, the program has awarded over $135,000 to dependents of Heniff employees.

This program is administered by Scholarship America┬«, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarship, tuition assistance and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Awards are granted without regard to race, color, creed, religion, sexual orientation, gender, disability, or national origin.

Applicants to the Heniff Scholarship Program must be:

  • Dependent* children, under 26, of full-time domestic employees of a Heniff Company or their affiliates who have a minimum of one year of employment with the company as of the application deadline.
    *Dependent children are defined as biological, step- or legally adopted children living in the employee’s household or primarily supported by the employee.
  • High school seniors or graduates, or current postsecondary undergraduates, who plan to enroll in full-time undergraduate study at an accredited two-year or four-year college, university, or vocational-technical school for the entire upcoming academic year.

Children of officers and executives and children of 1099 contractors are ineligible to apply.

Children of employees of Miller Transporters, Inc. are also ineligible to apply due to eligibility under the H. D. Miller, Sr. Scholarship Program.

Award Amounts
If selected as a recipient, the student will receive a $3,000 award. Up to ten (10) awards will be granted.

Awards will be limited to one new or renewal per family at a time.

Awards are renewable up to three additional years or until a bachelor’s degree or equivalent certificate is earned, whichever occurs first, on the basis of maintaining satisfactory academic performance and continued parental employment. Parent must be in good standing and employed by a Heniff Company and its affiliates as of July of the current distribution period.

Awards are for undergraduate study or qualified vocational-technical study only.

Selection of Recipients
Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of academic performance, demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities, work experience, statement of career and educational goals and objectives, unusual personal or family circumstances, and an outside appraisal. Financial need is not considered.

 
Selection of recipients is made by Scholarship America. In no instance does any officer or employee of Heniff Holdco, LLC play a part in the selection. All applicants agree to accept the decision as final.

Notification
Applicants will be notified in late March. Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients. Students may reapply to the program each year they meet eligibility requirements.

Payment of Scholarships
Scholarship America processes scholarship payments on behalf of Heniff Holdco, LLC. Payments are made in one installment in August.

As part of your application, you must upload the following document(s):

  • Current, complete transcript of grades. Grade reports are not accepted. Unofficial or online transcripts must display student name, school name, grades and credit hours for each course, and term in which each course was taken.

Also as part of your application, one online recommendation form must be submitted on your behalf no later than February 18, 2021 3:00 pm.

Your application is not considered complete unless all required documents are submitted electronically.
