Applicants to the Henkel Diversity Scholarship Program must:

  • Reside in the United States, Canada or Puerto Rico.
  • Identify as American Indian or Alaska Native or Indigenous, Asian, Black or African American, Hispanic or Latino, Native Hawaiian or Other Pacific Islander.
  • Be high school seniors or students in their final year of upper/higher secondary school or final year of CEGEP study who plan to enroll in full-time undergraduate study at an accredited two-year or four-year college or university (or equivalent) for the entire upcoming academic year.

Awards

If selected as a recipient, the student will receive an award ranging from $5,000 to $20,000.

Award amounts are determined based on the location of the college/university. Recipients attending college/university in Puerto Rico are eligible to receive a $5,000 award, recipients attending college/university in Canada are eligible to receive a $10,000 award, and recipients attending college/university in the U.S. are eligible to receive a $20,000 award. The award payments will be issued in U.S. currency.

Awards may be renewed for up to three additional years or until a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) is earned, whichever occurs first. Renewal is contingent upon satisfactory academic performance in a full-time course of study and continuation of the program by Henkel Corporation.

Awards are for undergraduate study only.

Selection of Recipients

Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of academic performance, demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities, work experience, and a character essay, and unusual personal or family circumstances.

Financial need, as calculated by Scholarship America, must be demonstrated for the student to receive an award.

Selection of recipients is made by Scholarship America. In no instance does any officer or employee of Henkel Corporation play a part in the selection. Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients. All applicants agree to accept the decision as final.

Notification

All applicants will be notified in May.

Payment of Scholarships

Scholarship America processes scholarship payments on behalf of Henkel Corporation. Payments are made in early August.
