The Janet E. Henry Scholarship assists students who are graduating seniors from Youngsville High School in Warren County, Pennsylvania and reside in the school district.
The program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarships and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Eligibility for individual programs is determined at the sole discretion of the sponsor and eligible applications are reviewed by Scholarship America’s evaluation team.
Applicants to the Janet E. Henry Scholarship must:
PNC employees or Trust committee members, their immediate family members, and members of their households are not eligible to apply.
Awards distribution will be determined by sponsor.
Awards are renewable up to three years or until a bachelor’s degree is earned, whichever occurs first, on the basis of satisfactory academic performance (maintaining a cumulative grade point average of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale), and full–time enrollment at an accredited two– or four–year college or university in an eligible major.
Awards may be used for tuition only.
Awards are for undergraduate study only.
All applicants will be notified in June.
Scholarship America processes scholarship payments on behalf of PNC Bank, N.A., as Trustee of the Janet E. Henry Scholarship. Payment is made in August.
Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of:
First: to those who are pursuing studies for the purpose of becoming secondary school teachers or librarians;
Second: to those students pursuing studies leading to a recognized profession such as nursing, medicine or law, but not limited thereto;
Third: To those students pursuing studies in the manual or other arts.
The scholarship should be considered for those who give promise, without regard to mere grades, of making a success of their professional training.
Financial need will be considered. Applicants must demonstrate need.
Selection of recipients is made by the Janet E. Henry Scholarship Committee. All applicants agree to accept the decision as final.
