Homme Education Fund

Jack Homme has established the Homme Education Fund to assist Haldeman Homme/H2i Group employees children or grandchildren who plan to pursue postsecondary education in college or vocational school programs.

The program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarships and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Eligibility for individual programs is determined at the sole discretion of the sponsor and eligible applications are reviewed by Scholarship America’s evaluation team.

To be eligible for education assistance for a child or grandchild, the employee must be:

  • An active full-time employee of Haldeman Homme/H2i Group OR
  • A retired employee who was employed a minimum of five years prior to retirement OR
  • A deceased employee who was employed by the company at the time of death.

Recipients must be dependent children* or grandchildren of an eligible employee, unmarried, and age 25 or under. Recipients must be high school seniors or graduates who plan to enroll or students who are already enrolled in a full-time undergraduate course of study at an accredited two-year or four-year college, university or vocational-technical school.

*Dependent children are defined as natural and legally adopted children or stepchildren living in the employee’shousehold or primarily supported by the employee.

Awards

The number and amount of individual awards will vary from year to year depending on the number of participants and the amount of funds available.

Awards range from $2,000 to $10,000. Financial need will be considered in determining the amount of each award. The decision regarding award amounts is made by Scholarship America. In no instance does any officer or employee of Haldeman-Homme Inc. play a part in the selection.

  • Students must have a cumulative grade point average of 2.0 or higher (on a 4.0 scale).
  • Awards are taxable to the recipients. IRS 1099 forms will be issued to recipients in January.
  • Awards are available for undergraduate study only. (Reapplication must be made each year.)
  • Employees must remain employed by Haldeman-Homme Inc. on August 1 and December 1 of the award year.

Notification

All applicants will be notified in June.

Payment of Scholarships

Scholarship America processes scholarship payments on behalf of Haldeman-Homme Inc. Payments are made in two equal installments on August 1 and and December 1.

As part of your application, you must upload the following:

  • A current, complete transcript of grades. Grade reports are not accepted. Transcripts must display student name, school name, grades and credit hours for each course and term in which each course was taken.

Your application is not complete unless all required materials are submitted electronically.
