LexisNexis® Risk Solutions, Inc. has established a scholarship program to assist female students who plan to pursue a STEM undergraduate degree at specific colleges and universities in Florida, Georgia and South Carolina. In support of their ongoing commitment to diversity and inclusion, the HPCC Systems Community Impact Scholarship is designed to help close the gender gap in tech and encourage young women from traditionally underrepresented backgrounds to follow their passion in STEM. HPCC Systems collaborates with academia to provide student opportunities to help train and develop future technologists of Big Data projects that leverage the open source HPCC Systems platform. The program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarships and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Eligibility for individual programs is determined at the sole discretion of the sponsor. Eligible applications are reviewed by Scholarship America’s evaluation team and the sponsor.

**Current college undergraduate students are ineligible. However, students who participated in college courses in high school are eligible.
LexisNexis Risk Solutions employees and their immediate family members (spouses and dependents) are ineligible.
The authorized distribution for new awards is $10,000. Up to 2 awards of $5,000 each will be granted.
Awards may be renewed for up to three additional years or until a bachelor’s degree is earned, whichever occurs first. Renewal is contingent upon satisfactory academic performance (maintaining a cumulative grade point average of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale), and fulltime enrollment in an eligible major at an eligible college or university.
Awards are for undergraduate study only.
All applicants will be notified in April.
Scholarship America processes scholarship payments on behalf of LexisNexis Risk Solutions Inc. Payment is made in August.
Scholarship finalists and recipients will be selected on the basis of:
Financial need, as calculated by Scholarship America, must be demonstrated for the student to receive an award.
Scholarship America will select scholarship finalists. The sponsor may opt to interview the finalists. The sponsor will make the final determination of recipients. All applicants agree to accept the decision as final.
Recipients may be offered the opportunity to apply for internships during pursuit of their degree and/or career opportunities with LexisNexis Risk Solutions upon graduation.
