Hunt Heroes Foundation has established a scholarship program to assist active duty service members, National Guard or Reservists of one of the five branches of the United States Armed Services or their dependents who plan to continue their education in college or vocational school programs. Service members of all ages, as well as their dependents and/or spouses, are encouraged to apply; whether they are returning to school or just beginning their post-secondary studies.
This program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarship, tuition assistance and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Eligibility for individual programs is determined at the sole discretion of the sponsor, and eligible applications are reviewed by Scholarship America’s evaluation team. Awards are granted without regard to race, color, creed, religion, sexual orientation, age, gender, disability, or national origin.
Applicants to the Hunt Heroes Foundation Scholarship Program must be:
*Dependent children are defined as natural and legally adopted children or stepchildren living in the employee’s household or primarily supported by the employee.
*You do not need to be a resident of a Hunt Military Community.
NOTE: Retirees and dependents of retirees are not eligible for this scholarship.
Employees of Hunt Companies and employee dependents are not eligible for this scholarship.
The authorized distribution for new awards is $50,000. Up to eighteen (18) awards will be granted, as follows:
Awards are not renewable, but students may reapply to the program each year they meet eligibility requirements.
Awards are for undergraduate and vocational-technical or certificates study only.
Scholarship recipients are selected based on of community involvement, demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities, work experience, a statement of educational and career goals and objectives, unusual personal or family circumstances and an outside appraisal, including the response to two short paragraph (300-words or less) essays:
Financial need is not considered. The selection of recipients is made by Scholarship America. In no instance does any officer or employee of Hunt Heroes Foundation play a part in the selection. All applicants agree to accept the decision as final.
If you are chosen as a recipient and do not accept your award in the timeframe given, your award will be forfeited.
Applicants will be notified in April. Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients.
If selected as a scholarship recipient, Hunt Heroes Foundation and its subsidiaries, reserves the right to publicize the recipient name, school, and any information submitted through the application for public relations and promotional campaigns.
Scholarship America processes scholarship payments on behalf of Hunt Heroes Foundation. Payments are made in one installment in early August payable to the applicant’s school.

NOTE: If you are providing SAT or ACT test scores, and those scores are not listed on your high school transcript, you will need to upload an official copy of those test scores separately. If you are uploading a college transcript, those scores are not required.
One online recommendation form must be submitted on your behalf no later than February 25, 2022, at 3:00 pm CT.
