This program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarship, tuition assistance and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations and individuals. Awards are granted without regard to race, color, creed, religion, sexual orientation, gender, disability, or national origin.
Applicants to the James and Thelma Connors Scholarship must:

Up to 35 awards of $3,000 will be granted to applicants who attended Medford Public High School or Medford Vocational Technical High School. Up to 15 awards will be granted to applicants who attended any other public, private charter or secondary program in the City of Medford, Massachusetts, and surrounding area.
Awards are one time only. Past recipients may not reapply.
Awards are for undergraduate study only.
Applicants will be notified in May. Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients.
Scholarship America processes scholarship payments on behalf of the James & Thelma Connors Foundation. Payments are made in mid-August.
Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of academic performance, demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities, work experience, a statement of career and educational goals and objectives, unusual personal or family circumstances and an online recommendation.
Financial need will be considered if financial information is provided. If you choose not to provide financial information, it will not count against you when being considered for an award.
Selection of recipients is made by Scholarship America. In no instance does any officer or employee of the James & Thelma Connors Foundation play a part in the selection. All applicants agree to accept the decision as final.
