J.T. Magen & Company Inc. has established a scholarship program to assist students residing in New York, New Jersey, or Connecticut who plan to continue their education in college.
The program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarship, tuition assistance, and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Eligibility for individual programs is determined at the sole discretion of the sponsor, and eligible applications are reviewed by Scholarship America’s evaluation team.
Applicants to the J. T. Magen & Company Diversity Scholarship must:
Employees of J.T. Magen & Company Inc. and their children are ineligible.
The authorized distribution for new awards is $30,000. Assuming there are qualified applicants, up to six (6) awards will be granted as follows:
Awards are not renewable; however, past recipients may reapply to the program each year they meet eligibility requirements.
Awards are for undergraduate study only.
Recipients may also receive summer internship opportunities with J.T. Magen.
Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of academic record, demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities, work experience, Statement of why the applicant is pursuing a degree in the construction industry, unusual personal or family circumstances, and an online recommendation.
Financial need is not considered. Selection of recipients is made by Scholarship America. In no instance does any officer or employee of J.T. Magen & Company Inc. play a part in the selection. Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients. Students may reapply to the program each year they meet eligibility requirements. All applicants agree to accept the decision as final.
All applicants will be notified in May.
Scholarship America processes scholarship payments on behalf of J.T. Magen & Company Inc.. Payment is made in August.
