Kohler Co. College Scholarship Program

Kohler Co. has established a scholarship program to recognize the importance of education and to provide support to associates’ children, or associates who are high school/secondary school seniors, who plan to continue their education in college.

The program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarship, tuition assistance and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Awards are granted without regard to the actual or perceived race, religion, national origin, ancestry, disability, age, gender, or sexual orientation of any applicant.

Applicants to the Kohler Co. College Scholarship Program must:

  • Be a high school senior/final year secondary student.
  • Be a dependent child of an active associate in good standing* at Kohler Co., OR
  • Be an active associate in good standing* at Kohler Co.
    *An active associate in good standing is currently performing services for, or on behalf of, Kohler Co., or one of its subsidiaries in the U.S. or Canada; or who is on an approved leave of absence at any time during the scholarship application, selection, or renewal process.
  • Be planning to enroll fall term in a full-time undergraduate course of study at an accredited four-year college, or at an accredited two-year college leading to a four-year degree.
  • Be enrolled for the entire academic year.

Awards

If selected as a recipient, the student will receive a $4,000 award.

Children of Employees Awards may be renewed for up to three additional years or until a bachelor’s degree is earned, whichever occurs first. Renewal is contingent upon satisfactory academic performance in a full-time course of study, and continuation of the program by Kohler Co.

Hospitality Awards for Kohler Co. associates are one-time only and not renewable.

Awards are for undergraduate study only.

Selection of Recipients

Scholarship finalists are selected by Scholarship America on the basis of past academic performance and future potential, demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities, work experience, a statement of educational and career goals, unusual personal or family circumstances, and an outside appraisal.

Financial need is not considered.

Recipients are selected by Kohler Co.  All information received is considered confidential. Decisions are final and are not subject to appeal. The program is competitive; not all applicants will be selected as recipients.

Notification

All applicants will be notified in June.

Payment of Scholarships

Scholarship America processes scholarship payments on behalf of Kohler Co. Payment is made in August.

As part of your application, you must upload the following document:

  • A current, complete transcript of grades. Grade reports are not accepted. Unofficial or online transcripts must display student name, school name, grades and credit hours for each course, and term in which each course was taken.

Also as part of your application, one online recommendation form must be submitted on your behalf.

Your application is not considered complete unless all required documents are submitted electronically.
