Konica Minolta Business Solutions U.S.A., Inc. and Scholarship America recognize and respect your desire for privacy. This application requires the submission of personal information to Scholarship America directly. Information provided by the applicant is considered confidential and is handled only by Scholarship America. Only authorized persons with a need and right to know will be permitted access to this information.

This program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarship, and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Eligibility for individual programs is determined at the sole discretion of the sponsor, and eligible applications are reviewed by Scholarship America’s evaluation team.

Applicants to the Konica Minolta North America Scholarship Program must be:

  • Dependent children* or grandchildren** of active Konica Minolta North America (BUS, MSA & BCA) employees in good standing, with a minimum of three years of employment, as of the application deadline.
    *Dependent children are defined as natural, legally adopted, or stepchildren primarily supported by an employee categorized above.
    *Grandchildren are defined as natural, legally adopted, or stepchildren of a former or current dependent child of an employee categorized above.
  • High school seniors who plan to enroll, or current college freshmen who are already enrolled, in a full-time undergraduate course of study leading to a baccalaureate degree at an accredited four-year college or university for the entire upcoming academic year.

Dependent children or grandchildren of company officers, corporate vice presidents and higher, are not eligible.

Awards

If selected as a recipient, the student will receive a $3,500 award. Up to sixteen (16) awards will be granted.  Awards are not renewable. Previous recipients may not reapply.

Awards are for qualified education-related expenses only (tuition, fees, books, and required supplies/equipment)

Awards are for undergraduate study only.

Selection of Recipients

Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of:

  • Academic record
  • Demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities
  • Work experience
  • A statement of educational and career goals and objectives
  • Unusual personal or family circumstances
  • An online recommendation

Financial need is not considered; however, awards may not exceed educational costs at the chosen institution.

Notification

Applicants will be notified in July. Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients. Students may reapply to the program each year they meet eligibility requirements.

Payment of Scholarships

Scholarship America processes scholarship payments on behalf of Konica Minolta Business Solutions U.S.A., Inc.. Payments are made in early August.

Recipient’s parent/grandparent must be employed by Konica Minolta at the time scholarship checks are issued.

As part of your application, you must upload the following:

  • A current, complete transcript of grades. Grade reports are not accepted. Transcripts must display:
    • Student name
    • School name
    • Grades
    • Credit hours for each course and term in which each course was taken.

    NOTE: If you are providing SAT or ACT test scores, and those scores are not listed on your high school transcript, you will need to upload a copy of your test score report(s) separately. If you are uploading a college transcript, those scores are not required.

    One online recommendation form must be submitted on your behalf no later than May 14, 2025 3:00 pm Central Time.

    Your application is not complete unless all required documents are submitted electronically.
