Medela LLC has established an educational awards program to assist children of employees who plan to continue their education in college or vocational school programs.This program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarship, tuition assistance and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Awards are granted without regard to race, color, creed, religion, sexual orientation, gender, disability, or national origin.
Children of Directors, Vice Presidents and Executive Vice President of Americas as well as field management are not eligible to participate.
Awards up to $2,000 will be granted for students attending a four year school and up to $500 for students attending a two-year or vocational school. Awards are not renewable, but students may reapply to the program each year they meet eligibility requirements. Recipients of education awards may receive no more than four years for undergraduate study and two years for graduate study.
Awards are for undergraduate study first, and if funds are available, for graduate study also.
Your application must be submitted on or before 3:00 p.m. Central Time on March 2, 2020.
Recipients are selected on the basis of academic record. Financial need is not considered.
Selection is made by Scholarship America. In no instance does any officer or employee of Medela LLC play a part
in the selection. All applicants agree to accept the decision as final.
Applicants will be notified in April.
Scholarship America processes payments on behalf of Medela LLC. Payments are made in equal installments in early August and mid-December, provided students have submitted proof of enrollment before each check.
Awards are considered taxable income to the parent employee. Medela will assist all employees with the tax liability associated with receiving an award for their dependent child.
