Lenovo has established a scholarship program to assist children of employees who plan to continue their education at a four-year college or university. Scholarships are offered for full-time undergraduate study at an accredited institution of the student’s choice.
This scholarship program is administered by Scholarship America, a national nonprofit educational support and student aid service organization that seeks to involve and assist the private sector in expanding educational opportunities and encouraging educational achievement. Awards are granted without regard to race, color, religion, gender, gender identity or expression, national origin, ethnicity, sexual orientation, sex, age, disability, veteran status or any other characteristic protected by law.

Applicants to the Children of Lenovo Employees Scholarship Program must be:
*Dependent children are defined as natural and legally adopted children or stepchildren.
*Children of Lenovo executives (SVP, VP, ED) are ineligible. (Band 11 and above)
Up to twenty (20) awards of $5,000 USD (or local currency equivalent) will be granted.
Awards must be applied to the upcoming academic year’s tuition. The remainder, if any, may be used to pay for other education-related expenses (e.g. fees, books, room and board, supplies, etc.).
Provided there are qualified applicants, recipients will be representative of Lenovo’s global, geographically dispersed population.
Awards are not renewable; however, students may reapply to the program each year they meet eligibility requirements.
Awards are for undergraduate study only.
Payment on behalf of Lenovo is made in one installment in August. For recipients from the United States and Canada:

Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of academic performance, demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities, work experience, statement of careers and educational goals and objectives, and unusual circumstances or family circumstances statement.
Financial need will not be considered.
Recipients will be notified in late March; the notification will include instructions for verifying enrollment. Non-recipients will be notified by email in late March
This is a competitive program. Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients. All applicants agree to accept the decision as final.
