Le Sueur Incorporated Sons and Daughters Scholarship Program

Le Sueur Incorporated has established a scholarship program to assist dependent children of employees who plan to continue their education in college or vocational school programs.

This program is administered by Scholarship America┬«, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarship, tuition assistance and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Awards are granted without regard to race, color, creed, religion, sexual orientation, gender, disability, or national origin.

Applicants of the Le Sueur Incorporated Sons and Daughters Scholarship Program award must:

  • Be dependent* children, age 24 and under, of full-time Le Sueur Incorporated employees.
    *Dependent children are defined as natural and legally adopted children or stepchildren living in the employee’s household or primarily supported by the employee.
  • Be high school seniors or graduates, or current postsecondary undergraduates, who plan to enroll in full-time undergraduate study at an accredited two-year or four-year college, university, or vocational-technical school for the entire upcoming academic year.

Award Information:

  • If selected as a recipient, you will receive a $500 award.
  • Up to two (2) awards will be granted.

Awards are not renewable, but students may reapply to the program each year they meet eligibility requirements.

A student may receive an award no more than four (4) times.

Awards are for undergraduate study only.

Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of:

  • academic record
  • demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities
  • work experience
  • statement of goals and aspirations
  • unusual personal or family circumstances
  • an online recommendation

Financial need is not considered.

Selection of recipients is made by Scholarship America. In no instance does any officer or employee of Le Sueur Incorporated play a part in the selection. All applicants agree to accept the decision as final.

Notification

Applicants will be notified in April. Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients.

Payment of Scholarships

Scholarship America processes scholarship payments on behalf of Le Sueur Incorporated. Awards will be paid in one installment in early August.

As part of your application, you must upload the following documents:

  • A current, complete transcript of grades. Grade reports are not accepted. Unofficial or online transcripts must display student name, school name, grades and credit hours for each course and term in which each course was taken

Also as part of your application, one online recommendation form must be submitted on your behalf.

Your application is not complete unless all required documents are submitted electronically.
