Lexington Manufacturing Scholarship Program for Children of Employees

Lexington Manufacturing has established a scholarship program to assist dependent children of employees who plan to continue their education in college or vocational school programs. Scholarships are offered each year for full-time study at an accredited institution of the student’s choice.

This scholarship program is administered by Scholarship America®.  Scholarship America is the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarship and tuition reimbursement programs for corporations, foundations, associations and individuals. Awards are granted without regard to race, color, creed, religion, sexual orientation, gender, disability or national origin.

Applicants of the Lexington Manufacturing Scholarship Program for Children of Employees award must meet all of the following criteria:

  • Be dependent* children, age 26 and under, of full-time Lexington Manufacturing employees. Employees must be employed at the time of the awarding.

*Dependent children are defined as biological, step- or legally adopted children living in the employee’s household or primarily supported by the employee.

  • Be high school seniors, high school graduates, or current postsecondary undergraduates.
  • Plan to enroll in full-time undergraduate study at an accredited two-year or four-year college, university, or vocational-technical school for the entire upcoming academic year.

Dependent children of Lexington Executive Team members are not eligible to apply.

Award information:

  • If selected as a recipient, the student will receive a $500 award.
  • Up to ten (10) awards will be granted.
  • Awards are not renewable; however, students may reapply to the program each year they meet eligibility requirements.
  • Awards are for undergraduate study only.

Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of:

  • Academic performance
  • Demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities
  • Work experience
  • Statement of career and educational goals and objectives
  • Unusual personal or family circumstances

Preference will be given to applicants majoring in a manufacturing-related field of study.

Financial need is not considered.

Selection of recipients is made by Scholarship America. In no instance does any officer or employee of Lexington Manufacturing play a part in the selection. All applicants agree to accept the decision as final.

Notification

Applicants will be notified in early July. Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients.

Payment of Scholarships

Scholarship America processes scholarship payments on behalf of Lexington Manufacturing. Payment is made in one installment in early August.

As part of your application, you must upload the following documents:

  • A current, complete transcript of grades. Grade reports are not accepted. Unofficial or online transcripts must display student name, school name, grades and credit hours for each course and term in which each course was taken.

Your application is not complete unless all required documents are submitted electronically.
