LKQ Corporation has established a scholarship program to assist children of employees of LKQ Corporation or its subsidiaries who plan to continue their education in college or vocational school programs (or equivalent).

The program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarships and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Eligibility for individual programs is determined at the sole discretion of the sponsor and eligible applications are reviewed by Scholarship America’s evaluation team.

Applicants to the LKQ Joseph M. Holsten Scholarship Program must:

  • Be dependent* children of employees of LKQ Corporation or its subsidiaries (“LKQ”) who have a minimum of one (1) year of continuous employment with the company as of the application deadline date and are employed by LKQ on the date the scholarship is awarded
*Dependent children are defined as biological, step- or legally adopted children living in the employee’s household or primarily supported by the employee.
  • Be high school seniors/students in their final year of upper or higher secondary school, graduates, or current technical or college/university undergraduate students
  • Plan to enroll in undergraduate study at an accredited two- or four-year college, university or vocational technical school (or equivalent) for the entire upcoming academic year

Awards

If selected as a recipient, the student will receive a $2,500 (USD) award. Up to 400 awards will be granted. The award payments will be issued in U.S. dollars (USD).

Provided there are qualified applicants, recipients will be selected in proportion to the number of applicants per country.

The employee parent must remain employed by LKQ on the date the scholarship is awarded.

Awards are not renewable, but students may reapply to the program each year they meet eligibility requirements. The maximum number of years a recipient may receive an award is four (4) years.

Awards are for undergraduate study only. The scholarship may not be used for graduate school.
