Maná, in partnership with Selva Negra and Univision Foundation has established a scholarship program to assist students who identify as Latino and who plan to continue their education in college or vocational school programs.
This program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarship, tuition assistance and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Awards are granted without regard to race, color, creed, religion, sexual orientation, gender, disability, or national origin.
Applicants to the Maná Scholarship Program must meet all of the following criteria:
Only the first 1,000 applications submitted will be considered.
If selected as a recipient, the student will receive a $10,000 award. Up to fifteen (15) awards will be granted.
Awards are not renewable and are for undergraduate study only.
Selection of Recipients
Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of academic performance, demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities, work experience, an essay, unusual personal or family circumstances, and an outside appraisal.
Financial need is not considered.
Selection of recipients is made by Scholarship America. In no instance does any officer or employee of Maná, or Selva Negra and Univision Foundation play a part in the selection. All applicants agree to accept the decision as final.
Recipients will be invited to attend a Maná concert in December.
All applicants will be notified in late November. Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients.
Payment of Scholarships
Scholarship America processes scholarship payments on behalf of the sponsors. Payments are made in equal installments in August and December.
