Paul Marchisotto Memorial Scholarship Program for HIP Students

Northrop Grumman Systems Corporation has established a scholarship program to assist participating HIP high school seniors who plan to continue education in college or vocational school programs. Scholarships are offered each year for full-time study at an accredited institution of the student’s choice.

The program is administered by Scholarship America, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarship, tuition assistance and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations and individuals. Awards are granted without regard to race, color, creed, religion, sexual orientation, age, gender, disability or national origin.

Applicants to the Paul Marchisotto Memorial Scholarship Program for HIP Students must:

  • Be high school seniors who plan to enroll in full-time undergraduate study at an accredited two- or four-year college, university, or vocational-technical school for the entire upcoming academic year, and
  • Have participated in and graduated from the Northrop Grumman High School Involvement Partnership (HIP) Program.

Award information:

  • The authorized distribution for new awards is $7,500.
  • Up to five (5) awards of $1,500 each will be granted.
  • Of the five awards, only one award per site will be granted.
  • Awards are one time only. Past recipients may not reapply.
  • Awards are for undergraduate study only.

Recipients of the Paul Marchiostto Memorial Scholarship Program for HIP Students may not receive an award from the Michael G. (Jerry) Huben Memorial Scholarship Program for HIP Students.

Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of:

  • Academic record
  • Demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities
  • Work experience
  • Statement of goals and aspirations
  • Unusual personal or family circumstances
  • An online recommendation

Financial need is not considered.

Selection of recipients is made by Scholarship America. In no instance does any officer or employee of Northrop Grumman Systems Corporation play a part in the selection. All applicants agree to accept the decision as final.

Notification

Applicants will be notified in late May. Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients.

Payment of Scholarships

Scholarship America processes Paul Marchisotto Memorial scholarship payments on behalf of Northrop Grumman Systems Corporation. Payments are made in one installment in early August.

As part of your application, you must upload the following documents:

  • A current, complete transcript of grades. Grade reports are not accepted. Unofficial or online transcripts must display student name, school name, grades and credit hours for each course and term in which each course was taken.

Also as part of your application, one online recommendation form must be submitted on your behalf.

Your application is not complete unless all required documents are submitted electronically.
