The Master Lock Company has established a scholarship program to assist children of employees worldwide who plan to continue their education in college or vocational school programs.
The program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarship and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Eligibility for individual programs is determined at the sole discretion of the sponsor, and eligible applications are reviewed by Scholarship America’s evaluation team.
Applicants to The Master Lock Company Scholarship Program must be:
If selected as a recipient, the student will receive a $1,500 award. Up to six (6) awards will be granted. If qualified applications are received, international locations will be represented among the recipients.
Awards may be renewed for up to three years or until a bachelor’s degree is earned, whichever occurs first. Renewal is contingent upon satisfactory academic performance in a full-time course of study, continued employment of the student’s parent at The Master Lock Company, and continuation of the program by The Master Lock Company.
Awards are for undergraduate study only.
All applicants will be notified in July.
Scholarship America processes scholarship payments on behalf of The Master Lock Company. Payment is made in one installment. Recipients’ parents must remain employed at the time checks are issued.
Award amounts are listed in U.S. dollars (USD) and award payments will be issued in USD.
Scholarship America disburses awards payable to the school for U.S., Canada, and Puerto Rico scholarship recipients. Awards are wired to all Non-U.S. scholarship recipients once proof of enrollment and wire form has been received.
Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of:
Financial need will be considered. Preference will be given to applicants who demonstrate financial need, as calculated by Scholarship America.
Selection of recipients is made by Scholarship America. In no instance does any officer or employee of The Master Lock Company play a part in the selection. Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients. Students may reapply to the program each year they meet eligibility requirements. All applicants agree to accept the decision as final.
