Mauger Insurance Scholarship
Application status: Closed

The Mauger Insurance Scholarship has been established to assist students from Southwest Licking School District in Ohio who plan to continue their education in college or vocational school programs.

The program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarships and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Eligibility for individual programs is determined at the sole discretion of the sponsor, and eligible applications are reviewed by Scholarship America’s evaluation team. Awards for this scholarship are granted to eligible recipients without regard to creed, religion, sexual orientation, age, disability, or national origin.

Applicants to the Mauger Insurance Scholarship must:

  • Be a student who is graduating, or has graduated from, Southwest Licking School District

  • Be a student who attended Southwest Licking School District for at least seven years
  • Plan to enroll in full-time undergraduate study at an accredited two- or four-year college, university or vocational-technical school for the entire upcoming academic year

Recipient must demonstrate financial need.

PNC Employees, children of PNC employees or Trust committee members are ineligible.

If selected as a recipient, the student will receive an award that varies based upon funds available for distribution.

Awards may be renewed for up to three additional years (for a total of four years) or until a bachelor’s degree is earned, whichever occurs first. Renewal is also contingent upon satisfactory academic performance in a full-time course of study (maintaining a cumulative grade point average of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale) at an accredited two- or four-year college or university or vocational-technical school.

Awards are for undergraduate study only.

Selection of Recipients

Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of:

  • Academic record
  • Demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities
  • Work experience
  • A statement of educational and career goals and objectives
  • Unusual personal or family circumstances

Financial need will be considered. Recipients must demonstrate need. Scholarship America will evaluate all eligible applicants and forward all applicant data to PNC Bank, Trustee. The Trust committee will select recipients.

Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients. All applicants agree to accept the decision as final.

All applicants will be notified by May.
