McCabe Charitable Foundation Scholarship

Applicants to the McCabe Charitable Foundation Scholarship must be:

Residents of Bay, Saginaw, or Midland counties in the State of Michigan.
Enrolled or planning to enroll in full-time undergraduate studies at Delta Community College or Saginaw Valley State University for the entire upcoming academic year.
Jewish or Presbyterian residents of Bay, Saginaw, or Midland counties in the State of Michigan are encouraged to apply.

PNC employees or Trust committee members, their immediate family members, and members of their households are not eligible to apply.

Awards

If selected as a recipient, the student will receive an award based upon the funds available and the number of eligible recipients.

Awards are not renewable, but students may reapply to the program each year they meet eligibility requirements. Recipients may receive the award for up to a total of 5 years.

Awards are for undergraduate study only.

Selection of Recipients

Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of:

Academic record
Demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities
Work experience
A statement of educational and career goals and objectives
Any unusual personal or family circumstances

Financial need will be considered.

Evaluation of applications is done by Scholarship America; final selection of recipients and determination of award amounts is done by a selection committee of the Sponsor’s choosing. Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients. All applicants agree to accept the decision as final.

Notification

Recipients will be notified in June.

Payment of Scholarships

Scholarship America processes scholarship payments on behalf of PNC Institutional Investments. Payment is made in August.

As part of your application, you must upload the following:

A current, complete transcript of grades. Grade reports are not accepted. Transcripts must display:
- Student name
- School name
- Grades
- Credit hours for each course and term in which each course was taken.
  
  NOTE: If you are providing SAT or ACT test scores, and those scores are not listed on your high school transcript, you will need to upload a copy of your test score report(s) separately. If you are uploading a college transcript, those scores are not required.
A letter of recommendation from a rabbi or minister if selecting Presbyterian or Jewish as religious Denomination.
