McCabe Charitable Foundation Scholarship
Application status: Closed

The McCabe Charitable Foundation Scholarship assists specific students from Bay, Saginaw, or Midland counties in Michigan who are enrolled or planning to enroll in undergraduate studies at Delta Community College or Saginaw Valley State University.

This program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarships and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Eligibility for individual programs is determined at the sole discretion of the sponsor, and eligible applications are reviewed by Scholarship America’s evaluation team.

Applicants to the McCabe Charitable Foundation Scholarship must be:

  • Residents of Bay, Saginaw, or Midland counties in the State of Michigan.
  • Enrolled or planning to enroll in full-time undergraduate studies at Delta Community College or Saginaw Valley State University  for the entire upcoming academic year.
  • Jewish or Presbyterian residents of Bay, Saginaw, or Midland counties in the State of Michigan are encouraged to apply.

If selected as a recipient, the student will receive an award based upon the funds available and the number of eligible recipients.

Awards are not renewable, but students may reapply to the program each year they meet eligibility requirements.  Recipients may receive the award for up to a total of 5 years.

Awards are for undergraduate study only.

Selection of Recipients

Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of:

  • Academic record
  • Demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities
  • Work experience
  • A statement of educational and career goals and objectives
  • Any unusual personal or family circumstances

Financial need will be considered.

Evaluation of applications is done by Scholarship America; final selection of recipients and determination of award amounts is done by a selection committee of the Sponsor’s choosing. Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients. All applicants agree to accept the decision as final.

Recipients will be notified in mid-June.
