Mercedes-Benz USA President’s Scholarship Fund
Application status: Closed

The Mercedes-Benz USA President’s Scholarship Fund is awarded annually and may be applied to any accredited post-high school educational program (two- and four-year colleges or universities, vocational-technical schools, and graduate schools).

This program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarship, tuition assistance and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Awards are granted without regard to race, color, creed, religion, sexual orientation, age, gender, disability, or national origin.

Applicants to the Mercedes-Benz USA President’s Scholarship Fund must be:

  • Dependent* children of full-time Mercedes-Benz USA employees who have a minimum of one year of employment with the company as of the application deadline date.
*Dependent children refers to unmarried and natural or legally adopted children or stepchildren or foster children of the employee who qualify for coverage under the terms of the company’s medical plan.
  • High school seniors or graduates who plan to enroll or students who are already enrolled in a full‑time** course of study for the entire academic year at an accredited two‑ or four‑year college, university, vocational-technical, or graduate school no later than fall 2021.
**Full-time study is defined as full-time enrollment for the entire upcoming academic year.

If selected as a recipient, the student will receive an award ranging from $1,000 to $3,000.

Awards are renewable for up to three years or until a degree is earned, whichever occurs first*, on the basis of satisfactory academic performance and continued parental employment. Honorarium awards are not renewable.

*A student may receive an award a maximum of four (4) years. A student who has received the award fewer than four times and earns a Bachelor’s degree must reapply to receive an award for graduate study.

Awards may be used for undergraduate, graduate, vocational or special training study.

Selection of Recipients

Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of academic record, demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities, work experience, a statement of goals and aspirations, unusual personal or family circumstances, financial need, and an online recommendation.

Financial need will be considered in determining the amount of each award. Potential recipients who demonstrate no need or do not provide financial data will be eligible to receive an honorarium at the minimum amount. Honorariums are not renewable. Students who receive an honorarium may not reapply.

Selection of recipients is made by Scholarship America. In no instance does any officer or employee of Mercedes-Benz USA play a part in the selection. Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients. Students may reapply to the program each year they meet eligibility requirements. All applicants agree to accept the decision as final.

All applicants will be notified in late May.
