Ross Stores, Inc. established the Stuart Moldaw Scholarship in 2009 to honor Stuart G. Moldaw – Ross’ founder and Chairman Emeritus – for his lifelong commitment to charitable giving. The Scholarship Program assists Associates and their dependents who plan to continue their education in college, graduate school, or vocational-technical school programs. Renewable scholarships are offered each year for full-time or part-time study at an accredited institution of the student’s choice.
This program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarship, tuition assistance and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations and individuals. Awards are granted without regard to race, color, creed, religion, sexual orientation, gender, disability, or national origin.
*Good standing means an Associate has not received a corrective action or Performance Development Plan in the last six (6) months if they are hourly or in the last twelve (12) months if salaried. Dates are determined as of the application deadline date of March 31, 2020.
**Part-time study is a minimum of six credit hours per term.
Applicants will be notified in late June. Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients. Students may reapply to the program each year they meet eligibility requirements.
Payment is made in one installment in early August. Checks are made payable to the school and either mailed to each recipient’s home address, or sent via EFT to participating schools.
Once a pool of qualified applicants is selected, financial need will be considered. Consideration will be given to those who demonstrate the greatest need. Award amounts will be $1,100 or $2,200.
Selection of recipients is made by Scholarship America. In no instance does any officer or Associate of Ross Stores, Inc. play a part in the selection. All applicants agree to accept the decision as final.
Also as part of your application, one online recommendation must be completed on your behalf by 1:00 p.m. PT on April 3, 2020.
Your application is not complete unless all required documents are submitted electronically.
