Applicants to the Moving & Storage Institute Scholarship Program must be:

• Employees of an independent moving and storage company, van line, van line agent, or supplier to the industry; and/or
• Children or grandchildren of an employee; and/or
• Children or grandchildren of an independent contractor affiliated with an independent moving and storage company, van line, and/or van line agent.
• Children of deceased employees are eligible to apply; however, employee must have been employed at the time of death.
• High school seniors or graduates, or current postsecondary undergraduates, who plan to enroll or are already enrolled in full time undergraduate study at a domestic, accredited two-year or four-year college, university, or vocational-technical school for the entire upcoming academic year.

Applicants of all majors are eligible to apply, but preference will be given to applicants planning to pursue a program in business administration, accounting, or other program related to the moving and storage industry.

Applicant or applicant’s parent/grandparent/spouse must be employed by a member company in good standing of the American Moving & Storage Association (AMSA).

Recipients are limited to four scholarships during their entire course of study.

As part of your application, you must upload the following:

• A current, complete transcript of grades. Grade reports are not accepted. Transcripts must display the student name, school name, grades and credit hours for each course, as well as the term in which each course was taken.

Also as part of your application, one online recommendation form must be submitted on your behalf.
