Tom Caruso Memorial Scholarship Program
Application status: Closed

The NAAA Warren Young, Sr. Scholastic Foundation, Inc. has established the Tom Caruso Memorial Scholarship Program to assist full-time employees, their children, step-children and grandchildren who plan to continue education in college or vocational school programs. Scholarships are offered each year for full-time study at an accredited institution of the student’s choice.

This program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarships and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations and individuals. Eligibility for individual programs is determined at the sole discretion of the sponsor and eligible applications are reviewed by Scholarship America’s evaluation team. Awards are granted without regard to race, color, creed, religion, sexual orientation, age, gender, disability or national origin.

Applicants to the Tom Caruso Memorial Scholarship Program must be:

  • Full-time U.S. or Canadian employees, employed as of the date of notification, of North American National Auto Auction Association (NAAA) member auctions or Corporate offices and their children, step-children and grandchildren.
    • If an employee becomes disabled, retires or dies during the application process their children or grandchildren are still eligible.
    • If an employee transfers from one NAAA Chapter/Corporate Office (CO) to another after an application has been submitted, employee must meet all eligibility requirements at the current Chapter/CO at the time of award notification.
  • High school seniors or graduates who plan to enroll or students who are already enrolled in a full-time undergraduate course of study at an accredited two or four year college or university, CEGEP institution or who are pursuing an auto-related degree at a vocational-technical school for the entire upcoming academic year.

Awards
If selected as a recipient, the student will receive an award of $3,000. Up to four (4) awards will be granted.

Provided there are qualified applicants, one award will be granted per NAAA Chapter/Corporate Office geographic location (see Locations tab for Chapter/Corporate Office (CO) definitions).

Awards are for qualified education-related expenses only (tuition, fees, books, and required supplies). Awards are not renewable; however, students may reapply to the program each year they meet eligibility requirements.

Notification
Applicants will be notified in late April.
