Navisite's Next Steminist Scholarship Program
Live application window: April 5, 2024 through May 17, 2024 3:00 pm CT

The Navisite’s Next Steminist Scholarship Program is designed to help close the gender gap in tech and encourage young women to pursue their passion in STEM (science, technology, engineering and math). The program provides $10,000 scholarship awards to eligible female candidates who are currently pursuing or plan to pursue a degree in STEM. Three winners will be named, each receiving a $10,000 scholarship. Please see the Eligibility tab for more information.

The program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarships and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Eligibility for individual programs is determined at the sole discretion of the sponsor, and eligible applications are reviewed by Scholarship America’s evaluation team.

Applicants to the Navisite’s Next Steminist Scholarship Program must:

  • Identify as female
  • Be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
  • Be age 25 or under as of the application deadline date
  • Be a current high school senior or graduate or current college undergraduate enrolled or planning to enroll full-time in undergraduate study at an accredited four-year college/university for the entire upcoming academic year
  • Have a minimum grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale or its equivalent
  • Be pursuing or planning to pursue a degree in one of the eligible majors listed below*

Applicants will also be asked to submit a 60-second unlisted YouTube video describing their dream career in STEM as part of their application.

Navisite, part of Accenture, employees and immediate family members are not eligible.

*Eligible Majors: Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Engineering Technology, Computer Hardware Engineering, Computer Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Game and Interactive Media Design, Information Systems, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Systems Engineering

Selection of Finalists and Recipients

Scholarship finalists are selected on the basis of:

  • Academic record
  • Demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities
  • Work experience
  • A statement of educational and career goals and objectives
  • Unusual personal or family circumstances
  • An online recommendation

Financial need will not be considered.

Once finalists are selected, a committee established by Navisite, part of Accenture, will select recipients. Finalist videos will be viewed by the Navisite scholarship committee.

Not all applicants to the program will be selected as finalists or recipients. All applicants agree to accept decisions as final.

Awards

If selected as a recipient, the student will receive a $10,000 award. Up to three awards of $10,000 each will be granted.

Awards are not renewable; however, students may reapply to the program each year they meet eligibility requirements.

Awards are for undergraduate study only.

Notification

All applicants will be notified in late July.

Payment of Scholarships

Scholarship America processes scholarship payments on behalf of Navisite, part of Accenture. Payment is made in August.

As part of your application, you must upload the following:

  • A current, complete transcript of grades. Grade reports are not accepted. Transcripts must display student name, school name, grades and credit hours for each course and term in which each course was taken.

    NOTE: If you are providing SAT or ACT test scores, and those scores are not listed on your high school transcript, you will need to upload a copy of your test score report(s) separately. If you are uploading a college transcript, those scores are not required.
  • A 60-second unlisted YouTube video describing your dream career in STEM and how you will use your STEM degree to make a positive impact.

One online recommendation form must be submitted on your behalf no later than May 22, 2024 3:00 pm Central Time.
