Eligibility
Applicants to the Neu Brothers Holdings, Inc. Employees’ Scholarship Program must be:

  • Children of employees of Neu Brothers Holdings, Inc. and its subsidiaries in which the company has a financial interest. Employees must work at least 30 hours per week and have a minimum of one year continuous employment with Neu Brothers Holdings, Inc. as of the application deadline.
  • High school seniors, high school graduates, or students who are already enrolled or planning to enroll in full-time undergraduate study at an accredited two- or four-year college, university, or vocational-technical school for the entire upcoming academic year.
  • Have a 2.5 grade point average (GPA) or greater on a 4.0 scale.

Awards
If selected as a recipient, the student will receive an award up to $10,000. Awards, except for honorariums, may be renewed for up to three additional years or until a bachelor’s degree is earned, whichever occurs first. Renewal is contingent upon satisfactory academic performance in a full-time course of study, continued employment of the student’s parent at Neu Brothers Holdings, Inc., and continuation of the program by Neu Brothers Holdings, Inc. Recipients of honorariums may reapply to the program each year they meet eligibility requirements.

Awards are for undergraduate study only.

Selection of Recipients
Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of both academic and non-academic criteria using a modified Scholarship America recipient selection procedure. Academic achievement is evaluated based on unweighted grade point average and standardized test scores. Non-academic evaluation includes school and community activities, work experience, career and educational aspirations and goals, unusual personal or family circumstances, and an outside appraisal.

Financial need as calculated by Scholarship America must be demonstrated for the student to receive a renewable award. Qualified applicants who do not demonstrate financial need, as determined by Scholarship America, will be eligible to receive an honorarium of up to $10,000.

Selection of recipients is made by Scholarship America. In no instance does any officer or employee of Neu Brothers Holdings, Inc. play a part in the selection. All applicants agree to accept the decision as final.

Notification
Applicants will be notified in early April. Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients. Students may reapply to the program each year they meet eligibility requirements.

Scholarship America processes scholarship payments on behalf of Neu Brothers Holdings, Inc. Payments are made in one installment in early August.
