The Northmoor Education Foundation Scholarship Program

The Northmoor Education Foundation has established a scholarship program to assist Northmoor Country Club employees, caddies and their children who plan to continue their education in college or vocational school programs. Scholarships are offered each year for full-time study at any accredited institution of the students choice.

The program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarships and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Eligibility for individual programs is at the sole discretion of the sponsor and eligible applications are reviewed by Scholarship America’s evaluation team.

Applicants to The Northmoor Education Foundation Scholarship Program must:

  • Be employees (all classes, full-time and part-time) of the Northmoor Country Club OR caddies with a minimum of one (1) season of employment or experience as of the application deadline date.
  • Be high school seniors, high school graduates or current postsecondary undergraduates who plan to enroll in full-time (enrolled for over 12 credits per semester) or part-time (enrolled for a minimum of 6 credits per semester) undergraduate study at an accredited U.S. two-year or four-year college or university, or a vocational-technical school, for the entire upcoming academic year.

OR

  • Be dependent* children, age 25 and under, of Northmoor Country Club employees OR Northmoor Country Club caddies who have a minimum of one (1) season of employment or experience** with the company as of the application deadline date.
    *Dependent children are defined as biological, step- or legally adopted children living in the employee’s or caddie’s household or primarily supported by the employee or caddie.
  • Be high school seniors, high school graduates or current postsecondary undergraduates who plan to enroll in full-time (enrolled for over 12 credits per semester) or part-time (enrolled for a minimum of 6 credits per semester) undergraduate study at an accredited U.S. two-year or four-year college or university, or a vocational-technical school, for the entire upcoming academic year.

**Season is defined by the requirements of each Club department.

Evans Scholars recipients are not eligible to apply.

Up to 15 awards will be granted as follows:

  • Up to 15 awards will be granted.
  • Recipients attending a two-year or vocational technical school full-time will receive a $3,000 award. Those attending part-time will receive $1,500.
  • Recipients attending a four-year school full-time will receive a $6,000 award. Those attending part-time will receive $3,000.

Awards above the $3,000 and $6,000 amounts may be granted based on additional contributions by club members.

Awards are for undergraduate study only.

Awards are not renewable; however, students may reapply to the program each year they meet eligibility requirements.

Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of:

  • Academic record
  • Demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities
  • Work experience
  • A statement of goals and aspirations
  • Unusual personal or family circumstances

If qualified applicants exist, preference will be given to applicants with the longest tenure.

Financial need is not considered.

Selection of recipients is made by Scholarship America. In no instance does any officer or employee of The Northmoor Education Foundation play a part in the selection. All applicants agree to accept the decision as final.

Notification

Applicants will be notified in May. Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients.

Payment of Scholarships

Scholarship America processes scholarship payments on behalf of The Northmoor Education Foundation. Awards will be paid in one installment in early August.

As part of your application, you must upload the following documents:

  • A current, complete transcript of grades. Grade reports are not accepted. Transcripts must display student name, school name, grades and credit hours for each course and term in which each course was taken.

NOTE: If you are providing SAT or ACT test scores, and those scores are not listed on your high school transcript, you will need to upload a copy of your test score report(s) separately. If you are uploading a college transcript, those scores are not required.

Your application is not complete unless all required documents are submitted electronically.
