Northwest Cascade Scholarship Fund
Deadline to apply: April 17, 2025 3:00 pm CT

Northwest Cascade has established a scholarship program to assist children of employees who plan to continue their education in college or vocational school programs.

The program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarships and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Eligibility for individual programs is determined at the sole discretion of the sponsor and eligible applications are reviewed by Scholarship America’s evaluation team.

Applicants to the Northwest Cascade Scholarship Fund must:

  • Be dependent* children of full-time or part-time Northwest Cascade employees who have a minimum of one year employment with the company as of the application deadline date.
*Dependent children are children who qualify for benefits provided by the company.
  • Be current high school seniors or graduates (not currently enrolled in college) or current college undergraduates, who plan to enroll in full-time or part-time undergraduate study at an accredited two-year or four-year college, university, or vocational-technical school for the entire upcoming academic year.

Children of officers are ineligible.

Awards

If selected as a recipient, the awards for four-year students will be $5,000 and $2,500 for two-year students. The total award distribution is $20,000.

Beginning with the 2024-25 program cycle, awards are not renewable; however, students may reapply to the program each year they meet eligibility requirements.

Awards are for undergraduate study only.

Notification

All applicants will be notified in June.

Payment of Scholarships

Scholarship America processes scholarship payments on behalf of Northwest Cascade. Payment is made in August.

Selection of Recipients

Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of:

  • Academic record
  • Demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities
  • Work experience
  • A statement of educational and career goals and objectives
  • Unusual personal or family circumstances

Financial need is not considered.

SAI may not grant awards to more than 25% of eligible applications in compliance with IRS Revenue Procedure 76-47.

The selection of recipients is made by Scholarship America. In no instance does any officer or employee of Northwest Cascade play a part in the selection.

Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients. Students may reapply to the program each year they meet eligibility requirements.

All applicants agree to accept the decision as final.
